So much talk about “wanting to be authentic or genuine”? What does this word or state really mean? The dictionary describes this word and or synonym in the following way ” true or real”. Then why do people nowadays want to be true or real? Does this mean that that people are not real or true? The answer is yes, it is true that many are not real or true! Why, is it this way? It is this way because most human beings remain confused, addicted to convenience, addicted to pleasure and addicted to escaping as soon as they can to find a way to be real or true. Is this You? Do you find that more often than not you are wandering around lost, distracted, sad, bored or lonely? Many would say, yes! So, the next question is why is it so?To be real or true requires “knowing what real or true” to mean in itself about every thought, feeling or action as well as to what exists around or outside of a person. There is only so much time a person can be wandering around wondering. After awhile, the mind runs out of games to play or survival to be part of or even to feel nothing more than just “blah, blah, boring….blah”! Of course, it is easy to see how this can be tiring. This is exactly why you are reading this, I am sure….or using your own words similarly….you think but cannot be sure.

Here is the rub? The endless doubtfulness or uncertainty about why you are here, who you really are and what is life all about…..puts a detour at every turn until it is clear that there are circles, upon circles and more circles. As you read this the term used about you is called a “seeker”. Seeker is a person who has decided to seek out the “truth” which will begin to create some sense to life. Without basic truths that every seeker must find the wandering continues until there is dis-ease of mind, body and soul. Dis-ease is simply “disconnection” to one’s body, soul and spirit.

Now, perhaps there is some light shining through into your heart. Yes, heart and not your mind. Your mind is a computer program that is truly ingenious and dependable to save you from life threatening events and keeps you running programs (thoughts-feelings-actions) that you learned by the age of 6. 99% of humans operate automatically from these programs, and some for most of their lives. How long have you been witnessing your automatic habits that keep you attracting the same kind of people into your life as well as behaving in routine ways about your food, health, needs and wants?

By the time a “seeker” wakes up to making a decision to search for the truths of life 15 +++++ years, or even half of a life or even most of life has passed by. Life passing by in these automatic habits becomes clear to be “unreal or a lie”! Is this all there is to life, asks the seeker to oneself, not knowing or hearing an answer. The seeker has tried religion, prayer, manifesting, following others, keeping up with brand clothes-cell phones, cars, facebook, twitter and lots of other “life passing convenient pastimes”.

Now, that you are clear that you are a seeker, you know who you are at least. Next, where and what are the “truths”? Once finding them here or there then the next question is what fits…..how does your mind relate to these truths? What does your heart say about these truths? For most, the mind begins to question why you are seeking this all the way to trying really hard to get you to discount these truths so that you can think and feel the way you used to when in the automatic thinking and acting way.

Surprise! The mind can only do exactly this. Keep automatic programs running as it is all that it knows to run! On the other hand, there is your heart which senses things here and there noticing that there are times when you do listen to your heart or gut or intuition things are successful, or better or easier and gets you to a better more fulfilling place in life. Does this ring a bell? Ring-a-ling…………. of course it does. This is what happens to all who find themselves seeking and most everyone does so at some point in their life. The majority do not dedicate to doing whatever it takes to find the truths that truly or genuinely from the heart resonate fully. The remaining find their truths. Out of the few, there are a few who are able to embrace and live these truths.

Of course, the truths feel like riddles or puzzles as they normally may eventually feel right but somehow not easily fitting to the daily living lived for most. Let us review this fact as it applies to every human being, all seekers too. Once childhood is over and puberty sets in there is a tremendous need for friends as well as searching for ways to avoid peer pressure, drugs, vapor, bullies, diet issues.
